The program covers all items specified under the standard service schedules for normal operating conditions for each vehicle type specified in the Service Warranty Booklet, including parts, labour, fluids and any applicable workshop charges.

What is not covered under the HSV Capped Price Servicing program?

Additional service or maintenance items which are not covered within the standard service schedules for normal operating conditions, which include, but are not limited to:

  • Items which require additional servicing depending on operating conditions as detailed in the Service and Warranty booklet;
  • Normal wear and tear items requiring periodic maintenance (e.g. fuses, brake pads, wiper blades, batteries, tyres, wheel alignment adjustments, etc);
  • Air conditioner pollen filter;
  • Any servicing required as a result of the fitment of non-genuine parts or accessories.
  • Additional fluids and additives not specified in the standard service schedules;
  • Accident damage to any body, chassis or driveline components;
  • Adjustments not specified in the standard service schedules; and
  • Additional maintenance and repairs recommended by your HSV/Holden Dealer to suit your individual driving characteristics.

If any additional service or maintenance work is required that is not covered under the HSV Capped Price Service program, your HSV/Holden Dealer will discuss any additional costs with you prior to performing the work.

Where can a HSV Capped Price Service be carried out?

Eligible vehicles can only be serviced under the program at authorised HSV/Holden Dealers.

When can a scheduled service be carried out?

HSV Capped Price Services can be claimed within a nominated number of months or kilometres of the due service date. If a service is not performed within the defined service time and kilometre period, that service will lapse. Please note that when a service claim period expires, the next Capped Price Service period will then be available. In this instance, customers will need to discuss the servicing options available to them, for the missed service, with their HSV/Holden Dealer.

Service intervals are for a given period of time or distance (9 months or 15,000km, whichever occurs first). Even if a vehicle isn’t driven far enough to cover the nominated distance between service intervals, your vehicle must still be serviced according to the time period shown on the standard service schedule in the Service Warranty booklet.

For most owners, the time interval will indicate when the service is required. Each scheduled HSV Capped Price Service can be claimed 90 days either side of the due date. In distance terms, a scheduled Capped Price Service can be claimed 3,000km either side of the specified service.

If the distance you travel is low, you should always have your vehicle serviced according to the time intervals. Regular servicing is critical in maintaining the performance and reliability of your HSV. Over time, lubricating oils and fluids deteriorate and lose their ability to protect your vehicle’s components.

It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure the vehicle is serviced within the specified service schedule period.

Note: Claims cannot be made for both a specified kilometres service and the corresponding time interval service, separately. Ask your HSV/Holden Dealer for full details and conditions.

Is the HSV Capped Price Service program transferable?

HSV Capped Price Service entitlements cannot be transferred to any other vehicle. They remain with the vehicle for the duration described above. Entitlements can be transferred between subsequent owners of the same vehicle.

Who is eligible for HSV Capped Price Servicing?

All customers, with the exception of Government, Rental and Not for Profit fleet customers, are eligible for HSV Capped Price Servicing. Additional exclusions may apply; please contact your HSV Dealer to confirm customer and vehicle eligibility.

Customer Refunds

Customers are not entitled to any refund for CPS Program services which have lapsed or are otherwise not performed by an HSV/ Holden Dealer.

HSV may add, or remove, vehicles from the program, or vary terms of the program from time to time, without notice.

Who is eligible for HSV Capped Price Servicing?

New HSV vehicles sold on, or from, 1st April 2012, are eligible for HSV Capped Price Servicing. All customers, with the exception of Government, Rental and Not for Profit fleet customers, are eligible. Additional exclusions may apply; contact your HSV/Holden Dealer to confirm customer and vehicle eligibility.

How do I tell when HSV Capped Price Servicing commenced for my vehicle?

HSV Capped Price Service is effective from the original warranty start date, which is recorded in your Service Warranty Booklet.

How can I check if my vehicle is eligible?

Refer to your Service Warranty Booklet or contact your HSV/Holden Dealer.

Is the capped price service programme available in New Zealand?

At this stage, CPS is not available in New Zealand.

Where can I have HSV Capped Price Servicing carried out?

Simply book your HSV into any authorised HSV/Holden Dealer Service Centre.

Can I take my vehicle to any Dealership for Service or do I have to go back to where I purchased it from?

All eligible services can be carried out at any authorised HSV/Holden Dealer in Australia for no more than the published maximum HSV Capped Price Service price.

How frequently should I service my car?

Under normal operating conditions, HSV recommends you service your vehicle every 9 months OR 15,000km, whichever occurs first.

If I don't do many kilometres each year, why should I service on the time specified in my Service Warranty Booklet?

All HSV vehicles have recommended service intervals that take into consideration different driving conditions. If the distance you travel is low, you should always have your vehicle serviced according to the time intervals. Regular servicing is critical in maintaining the performance and reliability of your HSV. Short, stop-start driving, places extra stress on the engine’s lubricating system, as the oil does not reach its optimal operating temperature. Over time, lubricating oils and fluids deteriorate and lose their ability to protect your engine’s critical components.

When can a scheduled service be carried out?

HSV Capped Price Services can be claimed within a nominated number of months or kilometres of the due service date. If a service is not performed within the defined service time and kilometre period, that service will lapse. For more information, please refer to HSV Capped Price Servicing Terms and Conditions.

What happens if I miss a service?

Missing a service means you may not receive the benefits of the total number of available HSV Capped Price Services for your vehicle. Please note that when a service claim period expires, the next Capped Price Service will then be available.

Missing or delaying services can potentially impact the performance and reliability of your HSV vehicle. If you miss a service, please contact your HSV/Holden Dealer to discuss available servicing options and recommendations.

What happens if I bring my vehicle in before the due service?

If this happens, the next service interval will be measured from this earlier date or kilometerage to remain within the time or distance range of 9 months or 15,000km (whichever comes first). This will impact all future service intervals covered by HSV Capped Price Servicing.

Can I still take my car to a local mechanic?

Eligible vehicles can be serviced outside the HSV/Holden Dealer network, however, HSV Capped Price Service pricing can only be guaranteed if the vehicle is serviced at an HSV/Holden Dealer.

It is important to remember that low cost, Capped Price Service is only one of the many benefits of visiting your HSV/Holden Dealer.

HSV/Holden has one of the largest service networks in the country. Servicing your HSV at an authorised HSV/Holden Service Centre gives you complete confidence, knowing that only HSV/Holden Dealership Technicians have access to regular HSV/Holden factory training and equipment. It also ensures your warranty isn’t jeopardised, and when it comes to selling your vehicle, it can add value and buyer confidence.

Is the HSV Capped Price Service program transferable?

HSV Capped Price Service entitlements cannot be transferred to any other vehicle. They remain with the vehicle for the duration of the program. Entitlements can be transferred between subsequent owners of the same vehicle.

Are pre-owned HSV vehicles eligible for HSV Capped Price Servicing?

Yes, if the vehicle was originally sold new with HSV Capped Price Servicing and is still covered by the program.

If you purchase a pre-owned HSV vehicle, it may have unclaimed HSV Capped Price Services remaining. For more information, please contact your HSV/Holden Dealer.

Is Mobil 1 included in my Capped Price Service?

Advances in engine technology and the ever-increasing demands on engine performance increase the stringent demands made on engine oils. That is why we recommend HSVs are serviced with Mobil 1 advanced, fully synthetic engine oil. As a premium oil, Mobil 1 is a more expensive option.

Customers may prefer to use other brands or the Holden dexos™ oils (as long as they remain with the dexos™grade 5W/30 spec.) Therefore Mobil 1 is not included in the Capped Price Service charge, ensuring HSV Customers have flexibility when servicing their vehicle.

Where can I get more information?

Contact your HSV/Holden Dealer or HSV Customer Assistance – Ph: (03) 9265 9500.
