Once cruise has been activated, ECC is automatically enabled and will maintain the set speed with the usual throttle increase on uphills, but also with automatic brake application on downhills.

ECC detects if the vehicle is accelerating downhill and uses the existing ESC hydraulic system to automatically apply the brakes to maintain the current speed without de-activating cruise control.
