Australia's favourite luxury and high performance car company twenty years young having produced nearly 60,000 cars since unveiling the first 'Walkinshaw' at the Sydney Motor Show in 1987.
Since then the company has successfully combined the best new technologies, like the revolutionary Magnetic Ride Control, with distinctive HSV styling to create cars Australians - and increasingly their peers around the world - love to drive.
In 2008, HSV has launched a new upgraded range of luxury and performance vehicles using the new LS3 engine producing 317kW of power. The company has also launched Australia's first world-class 'Supercar', the W427, which uses the Chevrolet LS7 engine, hand built in Detroit.
The 'W' reminds the company of the link to its first car the Group A SS VL Commodore which became known as the "Walkinshaw" in recognition of HSV's owner, Tom Walkinshaw.
