The Toll Holden Racing Team will race at this weekend’s Manufacturer’s Challenge at the Melbourne Grand Prix in specially commissioned livery to help promote the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

The HRT VE Commodores driven by Garth Tander and Will Davison will both feature bonnets with the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal logo, website and toll free hot line details. The bonnets will be auctioned off next week as one of the final events of the Bushfire Appeal, prior to its finish on April 17.

The signage continues the work GM Holden, Holden Special Vehicles, Walkinshaw Racing, sponsors, the drivers and team have put in to help with the appeal over the last six weeks.

Both Tander and Davison were looking forward to further supporting the Red Cross Appeal across this weekend’s non-championship round at Melbourne’s Albert Park. The Toll HRT drivers were part of the Appeal Telethons in February, while a piece of the bumper from a Holden Special Vehicles W427 was recently auctioned and raised over A$6,000 toward the fundraising effort.

Davison and Tander unveiled the livery at Albert Park today, receiving the approval of V8 Supercar windscreen supplier Matt Bartlett, who lost his home at St Andrews in the fires.

For further details of how to make a bid for the two commemorative bonnets visit return to this website from Monday March 31.
